Delivery took well over an hour. Very unimpressed - don't order from here, there's many other places in the area that are faster.

The wait time stories are completely true. Avoid!

Good food but consistently takes 20-30min longer than listed to be delivered. Not worth the wait.

Excellent bagel. Had a chicken sandwich on a whole wheat bagel delivered. Showed up warm and soft. One of the best bagels I've had in a long time. I will definitely be ordering from here again.

Ordered late around 11PM, called to ensure that everything would be ok and was told that the order would be sent right out. Never got a call back or received any food. Avoid ordering from here late at night!

Favorite NYC bagels!

If you don't have what I order, basic courtesy is to call and not take it upon yourself to make multiple substitutions.

Great for late night bagels. Egg sandwiches with meat and cheese are good. Delivery takes around 20 minutes longer than the estimate.
Posted 5 months ago by Joseph V.
Good egg sandwich and decent coffee. None of that over brewed, sour stuff that you get at some other places. The panini I order was excellent with fresh ingredient and generous portions

I ordered a whole wheat everything bagel scooped with egg whites, ham and Munster cheese. I revived a regular everything not scooped with reg eggs0, ham and no cheese. Very disappointed...threw it out

Off the charts!!!!!

I ordered a honey mustard chicken sandwich and they forgot to bring it btw, it was delivered an hour later and it was the WORST chicken sandwich EVER!
Posted 6 months ago by Hyerim J.
The bagels are really good here, but took way over an hour and a half to go 4 blocks. They were so lovely when I called so the issue seemed to be with the delivery guy, but the delay was unfortunate.
Posted 7 months ago by Charlotte M.
Ordered an hour in advance for a specific 7 to 7:15am delivery. Guy shows up at 7:45. I ordered two 1/4 lb of cream cheese, which was barely enough for 4 bagels (came in a shot glass, definitely not 1/4 lb).

Amazing bagels; amazing breakfast sandwiches, especially on a croissant. As a side, get the fruit salad - it's wonderfully fresh!

Great food, fast service, very sweet delivery guy, I will definitely order from them again!!! Highly recommended, my white fish bagel was delicious!!

actual food delivery 1:20
excuse - there where five orders ahead of you
called at 12:30 food is on it's way
called at 12:56 - rings rings rings and hangs up
called at 12:59 - rings rings ring for 1 minute and 30 sec
finally picks up with some lame excuse that it's a busy night that he is on his way - I said "you told me that an hour ago" he says he is on his way
Called at 120 - on his way you are his last stop we promise
123 am sandwich which is freaking cold finally arrives
the food is ok when you pick up but short of food poisoning this is the WORST FOOD SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER!

Food is good, but my order has been screwed up 3 times this week- forgot orange juice twice. Rude staff- "we're out of orange juice." Don't bother with this place and incompetent staff.
Posted 8 months ago by tj g.
disappointing: the second time they have not toasted my bagel. I will not be ordering from them again.
Posted 8 months ago by gina k.
THEY completely MESSED THE ENTIRE ORDER UP.
Posted 9 months ago by Ryan L.
I really liked this place - way too much cream cheese, but that's standard for me, since everyplace does that - and I'd eat here again. Great sourdough bagel, soft and delish, and with sundried tomato cream cheese is just awesomeness

This is my first time ever posting a review. I have had many good experiences from different places. I order every night at work and on the weekend.
Took over 2 hours and the restaurant hung up on my calls.
I'd recommend against pick a bagel

Very late (over 20 minutes beyond an already late window) and not helpful when I called to check on the status. Still waiting for my food...
Posted 10 months ago by Jillian P.
The last time I ordered from this place the order never showed up. I had ordered breakfast and waited 90 minutes before having to leave for work. Tonight the order took 1 hour and 20 minutes to arrive even though the estimate was 25-40 minutes. Our panini, hot chocolate and hot tea were ice cold and the tea bag was left in the tea so long it had disintegrated.
Posted 10 months ago by James A.
I was looking forward to my panini because I ordered it before and it was delish but it was cold and soggy. Fruit salad was fresh and sweet tho.
Posted 10 months ago by SOPHIA M.
good bagel awful delivery services. I ordered three untoasted bagels 90 minutes ago and they have yet to arrive.
Posted 10 months ago by Ryan O.
They have gotten much better and their bagels are very tasty!
Posted 10 months ago by Jay B.
The amount of time for delivery is excessive. It has been over an hour and a half every time I have every ordered. Do not make the mistake of thinking it was a one-time mistake; this untimeliness is the status quo here, and the staff is unapologetic when it happens.

This place would probably get 3+ stars for the food if their delivery and customer service was at least average. Unfortunately, their delivery service takes about two times longer than the time stated (I've given them 3 chances and they've failed every time), and when they make a mistake it's like a bad Three Stooges scene. "They forgot the bagel that was supposed to be with my eggs." "Wait, you have no omelet?" "No, I have the eggs, I don't have the bagel." "Our grill is off and we can't make any more eggs." This went on for about 5 minutes repeatedly. Such a shame.

Delivery takes an hour minimum. Overpriced. I live 2 blocks from the store and had to wait 1 1/2 hours for one bagel and one coffee. Do not order from this place if you are already hungry.
Posted a year ago by laurie b.
It may seem a bit pricey for just a bagel with cream cheese but they are extremely generous with the spread... one could even spread the excess onto 2 other bagels if needed. Great scallion cream cheese and chicken soup. Delivery times are consistent but a tad slow (Battery Park City).

Will not use again. Legit 2 hour wait on order w/ estimated 20 minute delivery.

If I could give zero I would. This place is around the corner from my apartment. The service is horrendous. Wait over an hour for incorrect items that are cold. Do yourself a favor a do not give this "business" any money.

over an hour and a half to get the food and upon calling 1:15 minutes in, they were immediately indignant, defensive and offered no explanation. (and i was nice about it!). for basic food, 3 blocks from my house, i would expect better service.

2 hours and $22 later I received my 2 bagels ordered....I wouldn't bother with this place and stick to Leo's!

Delivery took over 2 hours after they'd received and emailed confirmation of my order. The panini I'd ordered was completely cold. But their croissant was good.

Pick a bagel is usually a staple in our eating choices - but recently the quality has been declining because they frequently send the food from Izzy and Nats instead. I find it very irritating when I order from one restaurant and it comes from somewhere completely different. When I order pick-a-bagel, I want pick a bagel!
Posted a year ago by Stephanie K.
Reliable, fast, maybe a little on the expensive side. Beware...they tend to forget to include the free maccaroni salad/cole slaw and/or drink with the sandwich combos. Also, their eggs are now microwaved aka plastic.
On the plus side, again, they are fast, generous in portion size and the food is- eggs aside - tasty. My most recent fave is the Nova Scotia Salmon sandwich. Wish they would have fat free scallion cream cheese as a topping option.
Posted 2 years ago by Manuel C.
Ok food. Super slow delivery. Estimated that it would be 40-55 minutes......was an hour and a half. Not worth the cheap prices. PS: order was half-wrong too. When it's wrong, the quality doesn't matter. That's like saying you received a great Honda when you ordered a Volvo. If I didn't want it, it doesn't matter if it's decent.

These are some of the best bagels I have found downtown. Cream cheese is great, very fresh. The veggie is awesome. Smoothies are good too. Service is fast. Have only had one thing left off, ordered a bagel with cream cheese and the cream cheese was missing. Which is pretty big mistake for a bagel. Delivery guy is very nice!
Posted 2 years ago by David A.
Warm orange juice, cold and burnt bagel with way too much cream cheese and a missing mini muffin.
Not ordering again!

Don't expect to get what you've ordered!
While the bagel was fine, two of the four items delivered were not the items ordered!

It was a disgusting egg bagel with the egg clearly microwaved and green on the inside.. Yuck.

Smoothies lovely, muffins great. Sandwiches not good. Quick delivery.

Best Bagels. Great create-your-own salads. Very good prices and nice staff.

Every time we have a birthday in the office, I'm in charge of the bagels. Why? Because if it wasn't for me, we'd be stuck with the over-rated Leo's. These bagels are the best, and I get to strut around like a big shot when people ooh and aaah over them.
My one slight complaint is their salt-bagel is a bit too salty. Ok, its REALLY salty. You can't see the bagel in the sea of white. But all it takes is a few scrapes of the knife to make it the best salt bagel ever.

Fantastic white fish salad, bagels are fresh, delivery takes a while but is worth it.
Posted 2 years ago by Anne S.
They are consistently good with fast delivery! I order from here every weekend.
Posted 2 years ago by Cathleen K.
I ordered a salad from Pick-A-Bagel and was happy with my lunch. It was ready when I walked in to pick it up and was content with the service inside, even with their lunch rush coming over from the World Fin. Center. I look forward to exploring the rest of the menu soon!

Tasty bagels and fresh spreads - consistent - restaurant called directly when issues arosed and were very helpful.
Posted 2 years ago by Jeffrey B.
The bagels are okay but the deli meat is inedible. The corned beef was all fat and was very poor quality. The bread for the sandwiches was soggy and wet. I would not order anything but bagels from this restaurant.

My favorite bagels in the hood.

Love Pick a Bagel. They deliver quickly and have the yummiest bagels.
Posted 3 years ago by Laura F.
Delivery took close to 2 hours for half a dozen of bagels! while the estimated time said 40 min. Had to call them twice to see where my order is. Woman on the phone was rude and not helpful at all.
Posted 3 years ago by Olga L.
The bagels are good however delivery time is extremely long. Anticipate at least an hour, not matter how close you are to the store. The woman that answers the phone is really sweet and the orders the never messed up.
Posted 3 years ago by Priya P.
I've never had a bad experience with Pick A Bagel. They always deliver a good sandwich. I would recommend either the whole wheat and everything bagels. I usually order bacon, egg & cheese, virginia ham w. swiss or turkey, bacon & cheddar. The chicken noodle soup is also really good.
Posted 3 years ago by Mikel C.
Just OK. I prefer Leo's but this place has good Chocolate Chocolate Chip Muffins. The delivery takes FOREVER & they seem to be out of the items I order a lot. They seldom call to tell me either they just send a replacement item...
Posted 3 years ago by Cam A.
Everything is fantastic, everytime. That's why I always come back even though it takes an hour to get here.
Posted 3 years ago by Spencer W.
food has yet to arrive an hour later.....
I called.....and they had MAJOR attitude.
Posted 3 years ago by Karen B.
The bagels are great, but the delivery is terrible. They need many more delivery guys, or they need to change their delivery radius. It takes way too long to deliver bagels.
Posted 3 years ago by Dave M.
they forgot half of my order, cheap and grease food with no flavor
Posted 3 years ago by sujit s.
I've ordered delivery from PickABagel lots and lots over the past two years. Bagels always fresh, sandwiches hefty, service fast (and I'm over by the Staten Island ferry), food tasty and reasonably priced.
Posted 3 years ago by Andrew R. (LAG) C.
food takes forever to be delivered - was over half hour late
Posted 3 years ago by Marc S.
The order was not fulfilled. I ordered toasted bagel with cream cheese and received chocolate cake instead. I find it pretty hard to mess something like that.
Posted 3 years ago by Alexandar V.
It's difficult to mess up a BLT, but Pick A Bagel somehow managed. The sandwich was a river of grease and mayo -- an inedible disaster. Whoever slapped this thing together was picking something... but it wasn't a bagel.

Create Your Own Salad option is the best deal I've ever seen. Unlimited toppings, and the salad comes in a very large container.
Posted 4 years ago by Hannah L.
I have lived in NYC my whole life and this place is on my top 10 Bagel list.
Posted 4 years ago by James L.
Not even WORTH one star. I live one block away and it took over an hour for a bagel, a bagel sandwhich, and the smallest container of chicken salad I have ever seen in my life that was overpriced. After the hour wait everything arrived cold. On top of that the delivery guy basically threw the bag of food at us and walked away.
Don't order from here or give them any business. Awful place.
Posted 4 years ago by Margaret B.
bagels were great, however the menu isn't completely clear. i even called the restaurant to make sure a "nova scotia salmon sandwich" was equivalent to lox and a bagel, but when i received the order there was lox, onions (order extra), and a bagel. no cream cheese!
Posted 4 years ago by Carole-Anne O.
Just had the most pathetic disgusting watery attempt at soup I have ever tasted. Awful. Stick to the bagels.
Posted 5 years ago by Martin W.
I usually dont comment on these things and dont generally let one bad experience impact my view on a long standing establishment. I wont ruin your appetite with the details of my experience. Suffice it to say: you have been warned.
Posted 5 years ago by Elliott A.
The bagels are doughy and cake-like here, not appetizing. Overall, the food was okay, but I wouldn't order from this place again.
Posted 5 years ago by Reynaldo L.
bagels are miserable... ordered deserts one night for a quick fix. they were horrible. fat free muffin however is outstanding.

Not the best on breakfast.
